I talked to Bobby Frenes with the forest service in Kernville this evening. It had been snowing all day and is starting to stick. Bobby estimates 1 to 2 feet at Sherman. The Yurt has been put up along with all of the trail signs. All of the gates are currently unlocked. There is a deer hunt going on until December 13th so be carefull, wear orange! Bobby said the snow stations are not reporting correctly at this time but should be ok after the storm.
The groomer will be taken up after the first of the year and grooming will start on or about the second week of January snow conditions permitting. The road may not be plowed so be carefull.
